Regatta: optimist & ILCA regatta
The Mapfre Euromed International Championship is in its 23rd year and Malta Young Sailors Club is proud to organize this event, which in it’s record year brought together more than 200 sailors from 25 countries to compete in this 4 day competition
location: winter sailing in the heart of the mediterranean
Malta provides all year sailing and in December offers air temperatures of around 18C, the same as the temperature of the sea water around the island. This coupled with launching from a sandy beach and sailing in a large bay, provides an excellent, competitive location.
venue: hotel, boat park and launch all in one area
The event takes place in the north of the island in a location called Mellieha Bay. This is Malta’s largest sandy beach and provides the boat storage as well as launch location. The Munchies Beach Lido offers both the location for the race office as well as availability of snacks and drinks. The regatta hotel is the Seabank Resort which is located a few meters from beach.

Price: EUR400 for collection on 15th December and return on 19th December.
Boats available prior to 15th December at an additional charge.
Payment: Limited boats available. 50% deposit secures charter.

Devoti, ovington or other ilca Hull including ws Certificate and class measurement complete with normal charter specifications, including:
– spars (carbon top section included)
